The
Office of Family and Community
Partnerships administers funds through the 2005-2012 City of Seattle's Families and Education
Levy to focus on family involvement in education. As a
result of this investment, the following outcomes will be
achieved:
For Schools
Funding was made available to all elementary and K-8th grade
schools in a competitive, city-wide grant process. Awards will be
made for the period of one school year, from November 2005 to
August 2006. We are pleased to announce that 10 elementary schools
have been given grants of $10,050 each. Schools are:

- Hawthorne
- Broadview-Thomson
- Dearborn

- Beacon
Hill
- Bailey
Gatzert
- High Point
- John Muir
- Concord
- Rainier

For Community Based
Organizations
Funding was made available to organizations that serve high-need
populations through a competitive process. Five community-based
organizations have received grants to provide culturally relevant,
family involvement services to grant recipient schools. School
representatives, the City of Seattle, and the Office of Family and
Community Partnerships worked together to create this grant
process. Organizations are:
