FEES FOR FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN

All SPS elementary and K-8 schools offer full-day kindergarten. Since the state of Washington funds only half-day kindergarten, SPS is establishing a program to equitably fund full-day K across the district.

Fees

• Beginning in September 2010, the fee for full-day K will be $207 per month.
• The fee will be waived for students eligible for Free/Reduced priced meals (FRL); they will be able to attend full-day K at no charge, no matter what school they attend.
• The fee will be waived for all students at schools where 55% or more of the students are eligible for FRL; all students at those schools will be able to attend full-day K at no charge. Scroll down for a list of schools that offer free full-day kindergarten.

Half-Day Kindergarten

• Half-day attendance is always free and most schools can accommodate kindergarten students who choose to attend for half of the school day. Please talk with the principal if you are interested in half-day attendance.
• Coe and Salmon Bay offer a formal half-day kindergarten program.
• Students must attend full-day kindergarten if participating in a language immersion program.
