OPEN REASSIGNMENT PERIOD BEGINS MAY 1, 2008
Open Reassignment begins May 1, and continues through October 31. During this time, your child can be reassigned to any school with space available and/or change to a different school's waiting list upon request. (When changing to a new waiting list, the student is added to the end of the new list, and the previous waiting list spot is dropped and cannot be reinstituted.)

Although we accept both faxed and mailed applications to change a student's assignment and/or waiting list, applying in person is strongly recommended. If you fax an application based on information we give you over the phone, the situation is likely to be different by the time your application gets processed.

Note: If, on a given day, more than one student is placed on a waiting list for the same school, grade, and program, then tiebreakers will apply to those students for that date only.

If you have not already applied for 2008-2009, you may submit an application at any time.

New Kindergarten Class at Bryant Elementary
Due to enrollment growth in the Northeast cluster, we have added one additional Kindergarten class at Bryant Elementary School for the 2008-2009 school year. Beginning May 1, students will be admitted through the regular waiting list process.

Not Attending An Assigned School in 2008-09?
If your child has an assignment for Fall 2008, and you know that he or she will not be attending the assigned school, please let us know. (Children on the waiting list for another school will NOT be removed from the waiting list unless we contact you, and you decline the offer of a seat at the waitlisted school.)

Waitlist Information
For information regarding your child's school assignment and status on a waitlist, please call the Automated Assignment/Waiting List Line: (206) 252-0212. Beginning May 1, this information will be updated on a daily basis. You will need your child's student I.D. number and birthdate to retrieve this information.

Historical Enrollment Information
Please click here for a summary of previous years' enrollment information. Please note that information for the upcoming 2008-09 school year is still preliminary. The final report will be posted when available. It is also important to be aware that all historical information is informational only. There can be significant changes in the applicant pool and choice patterns from year to year. It is not appropriate to draw conclusions about what will happen in a subsequent year from this historical information.
