Environmental Services
Environmental Services is responsible for providing services for
grounds maintenance, sports complex operations and maintenance,
utility management and resource conservation and heating
ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) operations and maintenance. The
Grounds Department has 17 full time employees (FTE) and is
responsible for landscape maintenance at 100 properties with
approximately 650 acres. The Sports Complexes Group has 7 FTE that
maintain six sports complexes for the District’s athletic
programs and community usage. The Utilities Group has 2 FTE that
are responsible tracking the District’s electricity, natural
gas, oil, water, sewer, refuge/recycling and surface water tax.
Developing and promoted natural resource conservation in the
schools, to save money, reduce pollution, and preserve natural
resources. The HVAC Group has 4 FTE that operate and maintain
the energy management control system for the heating, cooling,
lighting, and irrigation systems at 88 sites. They maintain the
HVAC equipment in the event of breakdowns; duties also include
preventative maintenance and recommisioning of HVAC systems.
