Dig it! is already a
winner of:
The 2000 Emerald City Gold Award, The 2000 Communicator
Award of Excellence and 2 Telly Awards... Not to mention the
biggest award of them all:
This year's NW Regional Emmy award for the
CHILDREN AND YOUTH SPECIAL OR SERIES category went to the first
episode of Dig-It, (Michelle Mansfield, Producer; Nancy Guppy,
Writer) the environmental stewardship awareness show for children
and their families, which was produced at the Seattle Public
Schools Instructional BroadcasCenter. District Recycling
Coordinator (and Dig-It Executive Producer) Mary Joe deBeck helped
coordinate production of the two DigIt episodes produced to date.
The 38th Annual Northwest Regional Emmy Awards ceremony took place
on June 16th, 2001 at the Fifth Avenue Theater in downtown Seattle.
The Seattle-Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television
Arts and Sciences serves television profest sionals in Washington,
Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.
