Project-Based Teaching and Learning

  1. Any individual teacher interested in project-based teaching and learning (PBTL) may contact the Work-Based Learning Program Supervisor (WBL). Available assistance includes:
    • Curriculum resources (e.g., rubrics, frameworks, websites)
    • Specific lesson plans
    • Referral to professional development opportunities
    • Linkages to teachers engaged in PBTL.
  2. For Building Leadership Teams, principals, and / or Gates committees interested in implementing PBTL building wide, support can be given in the following areas:
    • An understanding of PBTL (including specific examples with supporting research)
    • Linkages to PBTL trainers
    • Linkages with schools that have used PBTL as a transformation agent
    • Examples of projects (with lesson plans)
    • Resources.
