Nontraditional Programs

  1. See New Program Startup Items 1 through 6.
  2. Organize professional development opportunities around collaboration and integration of Program across the school’s curriculum
  3. Mentor staff and administration so they are well informed and able to articulate the Program to parents and students. Point out existing successful Programs at similar schools. Provide references and visitations where possible.
  4. Program Coordinator will coordinate assembly, speakers, field trips, and job shadows for interested students. Resources presently being provided by CTE funding.
  5. Program Coordinator will seek out mentors for students to provide ongoing support and possible internships
  6. Pathway specialist assists with all of the above.
  7. Pathway specialist works with each CTE teacher in the Program area and assists in achieving the annual or specified time period goals and objectives, in particular, integration of curriculum for cross-crediting, alignment with Standards, "team work," WASL preparation, and the school’s established Transformation plans and objectives.
