- Pathway
specialist, CTE teachers and administrators will create / develop
opportunities to infuse IT / Technology, monitor enrollment, and
provide additional resources and support where appropriate.
- Pathway
specialist will apply for course approval when and where
appropriate.
- Pathway
specialist maintains currency in regards to IT / Technology
industry changes and assists CTE teachers in doing the same.
- Pathway
specialist along with districts IS director maintains and
upgrades equipment and software to maintain standards set by IT /
Technology industry. .
- Pathway
specialist field tests / evaluates software to be utilized in
Business / Marketing labs and classrooms.
- Pathway
specialist establishes and maintains contact with equipment,
software, text publishers, and providers for "piloting," adoption,
and selection of IT needs and resources.
- Pathway
specialist advocates for schools offerings to include classes
in Introduction to Tech., A+, Networking Essentials, Tech. Services
/ Help Desk, Java, Web Page Design, Programming, Oracle, and
Cisco.
- Pathway
specialist works with Career Center Coordinator and CTE teachers to
promote and ensure application for Tech Prep credit where
articulation has been established.
- Pathway specialist, upon students'
completion of required course work and curriculum, assists students
to register and pass the appropriate industry certification
exam(s).
