Course Title: Tech Drawing 1, 2

Tech Drawing 1 provides the student an opportunity to learn drafting, the universal picture language that provides a means by which ideas and information may be recorded and made readily available to others. Each line and symbol of this universal language has a definite meaning. This is a course for beginners as well as those who have had Technical Drawing Introductory. It includes lettering, measuring, dimensioning, sketching, geometric constructions, working drawings, and pictorial drawings, as well as the proper use and care of drawing equipment. The learning is more advanced than in Technical Drawing Introductory, and a higher degree of accuracy is expected.

Tech Drawing 2 offers more advanced problems in orthographic projections, auxiliary views, sectioning, developments, and intersections. Introduction to architectural, boat and machine drawing.

Course Title: Tech Drawings Adv

Credit is awarded on the basis of successful completion of teacher/student predetermined goals and objectives.

This course is a learning experience in which the student has completed a Career and Technical Education sequence in a technology & industry education prior to the co-op experience or concurrently enrolls in a Career and Technical Education class at school and works in a related occupation. WAC 180-50-345 outlines regulations for granting credit for cooperative work-based learning activities.

Course Title: Wood 1 and Woods Advanced

This basic course in woodworking provides students with enjoyment, as well as an opportunity to examine woodworking careers; develop skills and interests that may lead to employment; learn a leisure-time activity; and use basic woodworking skills for solving everyday problems. Through the construction of suitable projects, students learn to choose materials, determine costs, and plan a sequence of operations. They learn basic uses of hand tools, machines, materials, and finishing processes. The course is designed for the students who have an interest in a career in the forest products industry or those who wish to pursue advanced study. Generally, the area of specialization is an extension of choices made in earlier wood classes. This course is taken as part of a program of advanced work, upon approval of the department head and the building principal. Credit is awarded on the basis of successful completion of teacher/student predetermined goals.
