Continuous School Improvement Plans

Our C-SIPs direct our schools' efforts toward increasing the achievement of all students. They include all elements required by state and Federal law, and directly support our district's Strategic Plan:

  • An analysis of school data;
  • Specific goals for major subject areas;
  • Connections to the Nine Characteristics of Highly Successful Schools;
  • Strategies to help students succeed;
  • Plans for interventions, support, and restructuring for schools not meeting Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for multiple years;
  • Plans for measuring student growth;
  • Activities for family/community involvement; and,
  • Budgeted costs for activities.

To find out more about your school's C-SIP or to become involved in the ongoing development of goals, contact your principal. To learn about Federal or state requirements relating to C-SIPs, contact Seattle's School Improvement Department at 206.252.0190 or sliberty@seattleschools.org.
