Citizen Advisory Committees

The Board of Directors of Seattle Public Schools is committed to involving the community in the district. In December 2004, the Board adopted Policy F.03.00 and Procedure F.03.01, which encourages Citizen Advisory and Oversight Committees.

To date, several advisory committees have been or are in the process of being established. You may look at some of their work by clicking on the committee. These include:

• Nutrition Committee
• Fitness Committee
• Alternative Education Committee
• Water Quality Oversight Committee

If you are interested in participating in a Citizen Advisory Committee, please send an e-mail to the School Board Office. Be sure to include your contact information, some background information or resume of yourself, and particular areas of interest.
