Chief Sealth High & Denny Middle Schools Co-Located Campus
Replacement of Denny, major renovations of Sealth, and construction
of joint facilities, with safety upgrades throughout.

- Shared facilities may include new
library, foreign language classrooms, 1,000 seat auditorium,
commons, cafeteria, and gymnasium designed to higher safety
standards
- Denny will be designed to support
middle-school best practices, including space for small learning
communities
- Sealth renovations will support and
enhance the International Baccalauerate program, which is offered
fall 2007
- Combining these campuses allows for
use of shared resources and creates pathways for 6-12 grades
- Both schools will meet energy and
earthquake codes and provide ADA accessibility
- New fire alarm and sprinkler
systems
- New energy efficient windows and
lighting
- Outdoor lighting for improved
safety
- Denny designed increases natural
daylight, shown to enhance learning.
