1.1 Understands arts concepts and vocabulary: Elements (character, setting, dialogue, conflict, and action)
* Identifies main and minor character(s), the time and place of setting, and main action in a scene/play/story
* Understands arts concepts and vocabulary: Principles of Organization (plot, design, theme)
* Identifies the beginning, middle, and end in a scene/play/story
* Describes simple costumes and props in scene/play/story

1.2 Develops arts skills and techniques
* Uses voice to produce rhythmic language patterns
* Uses simple movements to imitate character
* Recalls and describes different feelings (e.g., glad, sad, mad)
* Contributes to dramatic play

1.3 Understands and applies arts styles from various artists, cultures, and times
