Dear Members, Prospective Members, Friends, and
Supporters,
Thank you for visiting the online home of the Seattle Schools
All-City Band. We are excited to offer this website as a place for
the general public to obtain information about our program.
The All-City Band is an ensemble of 9th-12th grade students from
over 15 different schools in the greater Seattle area. Students
from Seattle, Tacoma, Lynnwood, Redmond, and all places around and
in between come together each summer to perform in this ensemble,
which since 1951 has been a staple of Seattle's summer
celebrations.
Performing in upwards of 16-20 parades and community events in a
six week period, the All-City Band entertains hundreds of thousands
of people each summer. In recent years the band has traveled to
British Columbia, California, and Hawaii and a 2011 "60th
Anniversary" Alumni Band trip is being planned for Washington
D.C.
The band is actively seeking new members to join our ranks. We
have no auditions for membership, all we ask is that members be
enthusiastic about being a part of a group where everyone wants to
be there, and is committed to trying their best. Our talented staff
of college and university band members, all former members of the
All-City Band themselves, will work with you to teach you
everything you need to know to be successful, and help you to take
your musicianship and showmanship to next level. As part of this
ensemble you will make new friends from schools all over the Puget
Sound region, some which will last you the rest of your life.
Additionally we are constantly looking for new events to add to our
schedule including corporate pep bands to raise funds to support
our program and transportation costs. Should you need a pep or
marching band for a corporate event, wedding, private party, or any
other event, please do not hesitate to contact us.
