Enrollment Information

Enrollment Information for Newly-Made Eligible Students

Students found eligible as academically gifted may continue to attend their current school, can apply to attend a school that offers an Advanced Learning Opportunities (ALO) program, or apply to attend a Spectrum program. Students who prefer a Spectrum assignment, will need to enroll, even if currently enrolled in a building that offers Spectrum. Assignment to the Spectrum program is not guaranteed, and preference is given within clusters/regions.

Students found eligible as academically highly gifted may continue to attend their current school, can apply to attend a school that offers an Advanced Learning Opportunities (ALO) program, apply to attend a Spectrum program, or enroll in the Accelerated Progress Program.

Students who are found eligible during the Fall/Winter testing cycle, are eligible to enroll for the following school year. Students who are enrolled in an ALO school, a Spectrum program, or the Accelerated Progress Program retain their eligibility through the eighth grade. See Eligibility Status concerning the re-evaluation process.

Students who do not enroll in a program will need to re-test the following school year in order to retain eligibility.

Enrollment Service Center locations, guidelines, and applications can be found on the Enrollment Services webpage. If your child is not currently enrolled in Seattle Public Schools, you must submit a complete enrollment registration.
