Students found
eligible as academically gifted may
continue to attend their current school, can apply to attend a
school that offers an Advanced Learning Opportunities (ALO)
program, or apply to attend a Spectrum program.
Students who prefer a
Spectrum assignment, will need to enroll, even if currently
enrolled in a building that offers Spectrum. Assignment to the
Spectrum program is not guaranteed, and preference is given within
clusters/regions.
Students found
eligible as academically highly gifted
may continue to attend their current school, can apply to attend a
school that offers an Advanced Learning Opportunities (ALO)
program, apply to attend a Spectrum program, or enroll in the
Accelerated Progress Program.
Testing during the
fall/winter testing cycle is for enrollment for the following
school year only.
Students
who remain enrolled in an ALO school, a Spectrum program, or the
Accelerated Progress Program retain their eligibility through the
eighth grade. This includes students rising from 5th to 6th
grade.
Students who do not
enroll in a program will need to retest the following school year
in order to retain eligibility.
Students who apply for
a program but are placed on a waitlist are given an extension but
must enroll by the end of open enrollment for the next year or
retest.

not currently enrolled in Seattle Public Schools, you must submit a
complete enrollment registration.
