School Consolidation and Closure
Phase II
On
July 26, 2006, the School Board voted to close seven schools, and
directed the Superintendent to enter into a “Phase II”
of closures. Phase II would focus on schools with excess capacity
in the Central area, West Seattle, and the North. Phase II was also
designed to identify a new location for the Pathfinder K-8 program
and to recommend a new location for the Viewlands autism inclusion
program.
